St George’s is a Roman Catholic, co-educational school and can accommodate children from Primary 1 to Primary 7.
At present we have 208 pupils on the roll, but can cater for 326 children.

St George’s has a Nurture class known as Blossom Trail where pupils mainly from P1 & 2 are supported in social skills for part of the day.
Parents should note that the working capacity of the school may vary dependent upon the number of pupils at each stage and the way in which the classes are organised.

School starts 9.00am
Morning Interval 10.30-10.45am
Lunch 12.15pm – 1.00pm
Dismissal Primary 1 and Primary 2 2.55pm
Dismissal Primary 3 to Primary 7 3.00pm
For part of the first term, August – September, Primary 1 will dismiss at 12.15pm.
St. George’s School has a Breakfast Club which caters for all pupils from 8.00am-8.45am.
There is an after-school facility at Sandwood Primary which can be contacted on 07921991353.
Pupils must remain in the school during these hours and during the lunch hour unless going directly home for lunch. Otherwise any parents who wish their child to leave the school during lunchtime must write to the Head Teacher giving permission.
Pupils are not permitted to leave for dental/hospital appointments etc. unless accompanied by their parents or their representative.
In the case of school excursions parents must sign a permission slip to allow their child to accompany the class teacher out of school.
